Komen Race for the Cure

The North Texas Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation was founded in 1991 and has invested more than $8 million to local organizations providing breast health education, screening and treatment.  They have contributed more than $2 million to global research and grants programs.  This year they provided $800,000 to eight local organizations serving Collin, Denton, and Grayson counties

Sign up to participate in the Family One-Mile Race during Family Weekend to help raise money to find the cure for Breast Cancer.

Family Weekend participants are encouraged to join the UNT Family Weekend race team. When you go online to register, click "Join A Team" in the menu on the right side of the screen and search for "UNT Family Weekend".  The cost of registration is $30.  Include the case sensitive discount code FAMILY to receive $5 off the price of registration.  Click here to register!

Tuition Draw

Each ticket bought for the tuition draw is an opportunity to win a free semester's worth of tuition, valued at $4,200.  You can purchase tuition draw tickets for $5/ticket or $20/5 tickets prior to Family Weekend or on-site (at Family Weekend Registration) up until the football game's kickoff on Saturday.

Individuals who purchase tuition draw tickets at orientation will be included in the tuition draw.

The winners will be announced at half-time during the football game.

You do not have to be present to win.

Family of the Year Award

2011 Family of the Year

Congratulations to the Beckham Family (pictured above), the 2011 Family of the Year award recipients.  Jessica Beckham, a PhD student at the University of North Texas, nominated her family for this award.  

UNT students can nominate their family for this honor each year by submitting an essay.  The winner is selected through an all-student vote.  More information is available on the Student Government Association (SGA) website.
