The student fee for Freshman Orientation is $179. This fee includes all materials, meals, a t-shirt, staffing, administrative costs, lodging during orientation, and year-long orientation activities.

How to Register for Orientation

About Freshman Orientation

Part of the Freshman Orientation experience is living in the residence halls. All orientation participants are required to spend the night in Kerr Hall during their session.

  • It is recommended that students attend the earliest orientation date possible for optimal course availability.
  • All freshmen who graduated from high school in 2012, regardless of the number of earned college credits, are considered freshmen.
  • All students are required to participate in all orientation activities throughout the 3-day experience. Failure to do so can hinder a student's ability to register for classes.
